Earth Hour

Well Brooklyn had a blast enjoying Earth Hour tonight. We spent most of the time with the boys in the tub with candle light. Last year made quite an impression on my son Brooklyn. Well we went with Aunt Allison to the Library and Farmers Market at PSU today. I brought back a fun plate of snacks from the Joelle's Baby shower for the boys. Another littke girl in the building that makes a total of 5 girls to my two boys.

Spring Break in Our Home

Well I had to take Berkeley to work when I was grading papers on Saturday. It is super late so I'll try to get to the blog again later. :)

Morbid Kids.

Shenoy & Kapur (1996) noted that 21 out of 88 children with learning disability had a co-morbid psychological diagnosis. Kishore
et al (2000) reported that 21 out of 56 children with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills had a co-morbid psychological disorder.

Well Brooklyn has a lot of very morbid story telling look like at school he follows the guidelines but that at home he will draw more morbid story lines. I think many of Disney movies have morbid story lines as do most Grimm's fairy tales. I guess I was just not upset by his narrative but his doctor certainly was justifiably upset by our office art this week. The school was less worried they seemed to think it was an issue of balance and that he had a range of narratives. Will be learning more on this topic in the next weeks I'm sure.

Dental Screening etc.

Well Berkeley is set to get his first tooth exam in September. Brooklyn for the first time in 5 years will not have to go to the dentist for 6 months. I will still pop in next week to get our new pets.

So no obvious signs of infection or cavities. The school report from Feb 4th said that Iand I just thought they were crazy. The last "ugly" took fell out this week. Brooklyn is still taking about the time Mike filled in as the tooth fairy and he wrote on the dollar bill the note.

Brooklyn has a slight under bite and his lower teeth are crowded so at some point I guess he might need braces.

Potluck last night at MLC to learn about summer program still not up to write much about the drama school.

Odds and ends again

So on Feb 23 2009 Berkeley was a bit Velcro when I dropped him off. "Berkeley cried for just about two minutes after mom left this morning-than it was off to play. We walked to the racquet ball courts and Berkeley smiled as he played with the toy phone, balls and watched his peers march across the room. He asked for a number of helpings of the turkey and rice at lunch."

According to the meeting with his teachers he loves to eat and is not a picky eater.

at the children's museum he was not nice to his classmate leaf unsure if it was me or his brother that got him pushing Leaf around.

"Todayu we rode the streetcar to the North Park Blocks playground. Berkeley enjoyed playing on the slide with his classmates and running around. He also had fun walking back to the streetcar and riding it back to school."

paperless

So Berkeley's school went paperless so I am to copy these reports because they need the originals for the file. I saw an image of Berkeley taken at the downtown Library and had no idea they had taken him there.

"Pancakes and mike and apple sauce on the 28th of feb. Today we rode the street car to Jamison Fountain."

Today I meet with Berkeley teachers.
